Objective:
Aims to provide interest subsidy to unemployed youth, women, educated and unemployed women and S.C., S.T. and specially-abled persons for setting up
micro-enterprises, as per the provisions contained in the Bhamashah Employment Generation Scheme, 2015
Overview:
- In September 2020, The Small Industries Development Bank of India (Sidbi) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Rajasthan government to develop the MSME ecosystem in the state.
- Rajasthan has 26.87 Lakh MSMEs and has created an opportunities for 46.33 Lakh employment with major thrust on growth of Women MSMEs (3,80,007 number).
- The Economic Survey 2019-20 tabled in Parliament noted that states like Rajasthan which went for deregulation of labour laws created more jobs than those which followed old legal framework.
